Customized Training Program - Coaching for Success
(Also presented as Peer Coaching in team based environments)

As we look toward our new millennium, the importance of coaching as a leadership skill and competency is becoming increasingly important. This program breaks down the techniques of effective performance improvement and development coaching.

This one or two-day session is an advanced session on coaching techniques. It provides frameworks that can be incorporated in skill practices used to apply the techniques in real world coaching situations.

Objectives:

  • Give effective feedback to turn around substandard performance
  • Use a model on a "real world" situation to improve performance
  • Identify your strengths and areas of improvement as a coach
  • Enhance relationships among your team
  • Integrate a development coaching model to improve knowledge and skills in your organization

    - Review of "Coaching for Commitment" survey - assessment of
    strengths/opportunities for improvement, action planning
    - Communication tips - active listening techniques, feedback skills
III. Coaching for Improvement Performance
    - Step-by-step model: The Interaction Game Plan
    - Trio group simulation practice session on "real world" issue
IV. Development Coaching Model

    - Review of "The Art of Coaching- Helping Hand" video
    - Trio group simulation-integrating model into real world
    development coaching situation
V. Summary - Action Planning & Evaluation
