Bernadette Racicot
Bernadette Racicot received her Ph.D
in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University
of Akron in 1989. Dr. Racicot has been an Associate Professor
at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, teaching courses in
Industrial Organizational Psychology, Human Resources Management,
Organizational Behavior and Statistics. She has been active
in organizational consulting and research, and has published
more than 25 articles, book chapters and conference proceedings.
Dr. Racicot practice focuses on improving organization effectiveness
through employee development and coaching.
Carol A. Kivler
As a Board of Trustee member of the
National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI), Carol A. Kivler
has a wide body of experience in the mental health field.
In her first book, Blessings: My Journal of Gratitude, published
in April 2003, Ms. Kivler writes about her bout with depression
and promotes journaling as a way to stay in recovery. She
is currently working on her second book, Will I Ever
Be the Same Again?, which gives hope to others living
with mental illness. Ms. Kivler has participated in numerous
campaigns as an advocate for Mental Illness Awareness, she
has appeared on American Family, a GoodLife TV Network program,
and is a member of the New Jersey State Legislative Advocacy
Committee.
Joseph J. Reed
Joseph Reed received his Ph.D. in
Adult and Organization Development from Temple University,
and a Master's Degree from Glassboro State College, where
he was trained as a counselor. Dr. Reed has been a graduate
faculty member within the Management & Information Sciences
Department at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia,
where he taught Management Theory, Organizational Behavior
and Strategic Management. He has facilitated and designed
numerous leadership programs for the American Management
Association including teambuilding events, 360 feedback
interventions, and project management sessions. Dr. Reed
has worked with a diverse group of organizations including
American Express, Comcast Cable, Delta Airlines, St. Jude
Childrens Research Hospital, Pfizer, and many others.
Dr. Reed has also been a Marine Corps Officer.
Stephen W. Oliver
Stephen Oliver holds a graduate degree
in Human Resources Development from Marymount University
in Arlington, Virginia, and received a certification in
Distance Education through the University of Wisconsin-Madison
in 2004. Mr. Oliver is an adjunct faculty member at The
Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Villanova
University, Widener University, Mercer County Community
College and the Corporate College where he teaches Human
Resources, Diversity in the Workplace and English composition
courses to both undergraduate and graduate students. Mr.
Oliver is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management
(SHRM) and The American Society for Training and Development
(ASTD).
James S. Hampton
James Hampton has a Masters of Science
degree in Organizational Dynamics from the University of
Pennsylvania; a BS from Philadelphia University; and a certificate
in Training and Employee Development from the University
of Delaware. Mr. Hampton has also studied extensively with
the NTL Institute of Behavioral Science and holds certifications
from numerous organizations. Mr. Hampton is a scientist
who has spent significant amount of time in the non-profit
sector and has more than 16 years experience in the Human
Resources department at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals Inc.
One of his key accomplishments includes conducting a Lessons
Learned process for a major drug trial resulting in
significant changes in how drug trials are managed and conducted.
Mr. Hamptons international experience includes working
with both Technical and Marketing groups in Canada, England
and South Africa, enabling him to work effectively within
diverse cultures and at all levels within organizations.
Janice Coleman
Janice Coleman holds a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Organizational Management from Eastern College.
She has earned certificates in public speaking and is a
member of the National Speakers Association. Her experience
as a presenter covers a wide variety of audiences, delivering
programs for Rand Institute at Rutgers University, SkillPath
Seminars, Right Management Associates, Koinonia International,
Camden County College, Pennsylvania Association for Adult
Continuing Education, Simbaas Creative Concepts and
System Solutions, Association of Black Women Lawyers and
many others. She has over 13 years of experience in the
information technology, insurance and training industries,
and has been responsible for large computer systems in financial
and product management.
Marla Sturm
Marla Sturm received her Ph.D. in
Adult and Organization Development from Temple University.
As an Organizational Development and Training Consultant,
Dr. Sturms clients have included Provident Indemnity
Company, AT&T, Eaton Financial Corporation, Thomas Jefferson
University, Abington Hospital, American Electronics Laboratories,
and Keystone Lamp Company. Her areas of concentration include
Assertiveness, Time Management, Problem Solving and Conflict
Management, Communications Skills, Interpersonal Development
and Supervisory Training.
She also does adjunct work with Manor Junior College and
Philadelphia University.
Brent Dell
Brent Dell has extensive experience
in the IT arena. He is used primarily on large scale Organization
Systems Design projects. Brent started a 32 year career
with AT&T in voice and data sales and later developed
computerized budgeting and computer based productivity measurement
systems for Bell Labs and each Bell Operating Company. Brent
later developed and implemented Lease Accounting revenue
and asset tracking systems as well as Fixed Asset accounting
systems to accommodate the requirements of AT&T at the
break up of the bell system. He became CIO for 10 years
at AT&T Capital Corporation , which from a de-novo start
up grew to an eleven billion dollar enterprise before being
sold. In this role, he had responsibility for all systems,
communications and hardware installation. He also developed
a new program called Supplier Quality Management and lead
a group preparing the submission of the Malcolm Baldrige
Aware Application. Brent typically develops the IT strategies
when designing or redesigning large organization systems.
Lawrence A. Solow
Lawrence Solow earned a Masters degree
in Organizational Communication from Temple University and
is a Six Sigma Black Belt. He authored Chapter 9, Comprehensive
Approach to Organizational Learning: Total Learning Architecture
for the book, Learning Architectures: Building Organization
and Individual Learning by Warren R. Wilhelm. Mr.
Solow was also featured on the internet radio show Success
Becomes You on www.voiceamerica.com. He has worked
with a variety of Fortune 500 manufacturing companies, including
York International, AlliedSignal, Honeywell and Mattel.
Clients also include Federal Express, Blue Cross/Blue Shield
of Florida, USA TODAY, Texaco, Phillips Petroleum and numerous
not-for-profit organizations, including UNICEF and Amnesty
International.
Neil Orkin
Neil Orkin received his doctorate
in Adult Learning from Rutgers University and a Masters
from Columbia University. He received his Bachelors degree
from the University of Michigan. As a communication skills
consultant for Time T.I. Communications, a Japanese company,
Dr. Orkin worked with Japanese executives at many leading
companies in Japan. His client list includes Honda, Toyota,
JVC, C. Itoh Trading, Sumitomo Bank, Kawasaki Steel, and
many other Japanese corporations. He has also worked with
executives at AT&T, Johnson & Johnson, Colgate,
Merrill Lynch, Schering-Plough, and many other Fortune 100
organizations. As a professional speaker, Neil speaks nationally
on the topics of Adult Learning, Becoming a Powerful Speaker,
Communications Skills, Cross-cultural Communication, and
Executive Development. Dr. Orkin speaks Japanese, Spanish,
and Portuguese, and has a working knowledge of Korean and
Italian.
Marie-Elena Miller
Marie-Elena Miller received an MS
degree in Human Resource Management from New Jersey Institute
of Technology and a BS in Accounting from Kean University,
and was selected from among the top 1% of her peers to attend
the Smith College Executive Education Consortium focusing
on leadership-centered practices in a global economy. Ms.
Miller is an active member of the Society of Human Resource
Management, and Women in Technology and Industry. Ms. Miller
has worked for a number of Fortune 500 companies across
a variety of industries, and possesses over 18 years of
experience creating strategies and customized interventions
to support enhanced organizational performance and effectiveness.
As a Human Resource Business Partner at a multi-billion
dollar telecommunications company, she created a number
of high-performance teams which impacted the companys
Residential Billing Systems Design and Development organization.
Mary Roper
Mary Roper holds a BA in English and
Education from Michigan State University. She also has trained
at, and holds several certifications from, New York University,
Stanford University, UC Berkley, H.H.Owen Company and others.
Ms. Roper has over 25 years of experience in Organizational
Development, Sales and Marketing. She is a master facilitator
who has worked with companies throughout North America,
South America, Europe, Australia, Asia, and West Indies.
Clients include Sutter Health Organizations, DuPont, U.S.
Department of Transportation, AstraZeneca, Blue Cross/Blue
Shield of Western New York, XEROX Corporation and the US
Postal Service.
Steven M. Horner
Steven Horner earned an Associate
degree in Social Sciences from Montgomery County Community
College, a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Sociology
from Temple University and two graduate degrees in Organizational
Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. He has also
earned numerous insurance and human resource certifications
and designations. He is an adjunct faculty member for the
Montgomery County Community College and the Insurance Institute
of America. He is a member of several organizations including
the Philadelphia Human Resource Planning Group (PHRPG),
and American Society of Training and Development (ASTD),
and sits on the Boards of Montgomery County Community College
Foundation, and the National Association of Insurance Women
Foundation. Mr. Horner has over 25 years experience in all
aspects of organizational effectiveness including executive
coaching, team building, conflict resolution, succession
planning, mentoring, employee involvement, employee relations,
leadership development, facilitation, training, and performance
management.
